Built in the early 1800s, Brookside was purchased by Captain Samuel Bartlett circa 1875. This charming duplex-style home, made of ship’s wood, has been in the Bartlett family for five generations.

Kent Cottage was constructed around 1786 for the Pomeroy family who owned the small Georgian-style home for many years but finally abandoned it and used it as a barn. Visit: landfalltrustnl.org
This fenced, weathered shed in Brigus Newfoundland has so much character I was inspired to capture it in the bright light and colours of surrounding setting.
Hawthorne Cottage was the Brigus home of Captain Robert Bartlett. His international fame came after he commanded the Roosevelt for Admiral Peary’s North Pole expeditions as well as the Karluk in Steffanson’s Canadian Arctic Expedition (1913-14).
